The Multi State Alternate Assessment and the Alternate Montana Science Assessment will no longer be administered to Montana students with significant cognitive disabilities in Grades 5, 8, and 11 as of the 2025-2026 school year. The required Alternate ELA, Math , and Science content areas will be assessed with the Dynamic Learning Map (DLM).

With this change in assessments, this webpage will be active until the end of December, 2025 at which time it will be retired. The page will remain active until then to allow schools and districts access to score report resources for the 2024-2025 school year.

Multi State Alternate Assessment (MSAA) Score Reporting

Districts and schools can download individual score reports in the MSAA System between July 14 and September 5, 2025. After the September 5 date, Individual Score Reports will not be accessible.

To see how a school is performing over time and compared to other schools in Montana, visit Montana's longitudinal data warehouse (GEMS). Official state-level results are released annually in the fall, typically around mid- to late September.

Districts are responsible for providing individual score reports to parents no later than fall parent-teacher conferences.
