Montana Elementary Math Community (MEMC)

Join a community of nearly 100 Elementary educators across Montana that shares ideas, resources, questions, and inspiration for our math pedagogy!  Dan Ries, Target Range Elementary in Missoula and Tom Redmon, Daly Elementary in Hamilton host monthly virtual gatherings as well as monthly idea emails. 

Our online community meets every first Wednesday at 4pm using Zoom. Join us to discuss hot topics, problems of practice and ask questions.

All Montana Teachers have access to FREE online courses through the Teacher Learning Hub. You will need to make an account to access these excellent courses. 2020-2021 Math Facilitated Courses

The Office of Public Instruction is excited to offer a series of free three-week, 10-15 renewal unit, online mathematical professional development courses throughout the 2020-2021 school year. Professors from Montana State University, University of Montana, and teacher leaders from across the state worked to develop these courses. Second, we are excited to offer a second facilitated course on Number Sense Routines K-8 (running starting October 26,2020 and February 8, 2020). This course goes into depth on the importance of these routines to build math discussions, thinking and reasoning skills.
