The Ed Tech competitive grants for high poverty/high
technology need school districts are federally funded through
the No Child Left Behind act of 2001. These grants are available
to high poverty districts
that have a Title I program in need of improvement or corrective
action or have a high need for technology. The grant requires the formation of partnerships with school
districts and high education to focus upon the needs of the low performing
school
district. The ultimate goal of the program is the improvement of
student academic achievement through the effective use of technology.
