Summer Six Reading Challenge

Friday, May 23, 2014, 1:38 pm

Superintendent Juneau has launched the 2014 Summer Six Reading Challenge. Students in K-12 are encouraged to participate and read six books over the course of the summer.  When students sign up, they are eligible for monthly prizes of store gift cards and other items. Last year, over 2,000 Montana students took the challenge.   Your K-3 students can get a jump on the Summer Six Reading Challenge by joining along with Superintendent Denise Juneau as she reads Turtle Races with Beaver.  Just click directly on the link http://opi.mt.gov/Streamer/Challenge6/_Deploy to show your students the video in the classroom or during library time.

You can help students sign up for the Challenge online. The OPI has a page on its website with information for students, parents and educators. Click here for information and to register: http://opi.mt.gov/read6books.
