Jael Prezeau joins OPI to lead implementation of MT Common Core Standards

Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau is pleased to announce that Jael Prezeau, PhD. joined the Superintendent’s staff in July 2012 to lead the statewide implementation of the Montana Common Core Standards, which were adopted by the Board of Public Education in November 2011. Jael will also take a leadship role in OPI’s participation in the development of the Next Generation Science standards, the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiative, and Math-Science Partnerships.

Dr. Prezeau served as the director of Curriculum, Special Education, Assessment and Grants for Libby Public Schools from 2002-2012, where she was the district lead for curriculum development, assessment, professional development, afterschool programs, Title I services, student information systems, Graduation Matters Montana, and the Montana Behavioral Initiative. Jael has more than 30 years of experience working in Montana schools.
