Student Advisory Board Nominations for 2012-13

Superintendent Denise Juneau invites all high school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers and community members to nominate high school students to serve on the Superintendent's Student Advisory Board for the 2012-2013 school year. Students selected for this board interact directly with Superintendent Juneau. They attend two annual board meetings, network with state leaders and experience professional and leadership development.

Nomination Guidelines:
We are looking for a Student Advisory Board comprised of students who:
are currently enrolled in Montana public high school,
represent a mix of high schools in both urban and rural locations,
have overcome obstacles,
represent an even mix of gender, and
represent a mix of all high school grade levels.

All student who are nominated should be highly interested in the purpose of the Student Advisory Board and able to actively participate as a board member.

Nomination Timeline:
March 30 - Online Application open for nominators and students
May 1 - Online application closed for nominators and students
Week of May 28 - Nominators and students notified

To nominate a student, please go to the OPI's Graduation Matters website, www.graduationmatters.mt.gov and click on the "Apply Here" button. For the student's application to be complete they must have a nominator.
