OPI to report cohort graduation and dropout rates

Tuesday, January 3, 2012, 8:55 am

In February 2012, the Office of Public Instruction will report cohort graduation rates for the Class of 2011. This report will be first time that OPI is able to report graduation rates using four-years of student-level records from Achievement in Montana – AIM, the statewide student information system. The 4-year cohort graduation rate is the percentage of students in the Class of 2011 who graduated within four years of beginning 9th grade. OPI plans to report 5-year and 6-year cohort graduation rates for the Class of 2011 in subsequent years. The website will also display dropout rates for cohorts of students.
