24th Montana Statehood Centennial Bell Award

All Elementary School principals are invited to nominate a 4th-5th grade teacher who has done an exemplary job of teaching Montana history during the current school year (2012-2013) for the 24th Annual Montana Statehood Centennial Bell Award honoring the Montana History Teacher of the Year.
To nominate a 4th or 5th grade Montana history teacher, email Norma Ashby at ashby7@q.com. Please include the following information:

* Grade level
* School name
* School address
* School phone number
* Nominee’s email
* Principal’s name
* Principal’s email
Nominations are due by March 22, 2013. Nominees have until May 10, 2013 to submit their entries. They will receive instructions about materials to be submitted.
On Friday, November 8, 2013, the winning teacher and his or her class will be honored at a ceremony in the State Capitol and the winner will receive a plaque and $1,250 toward library and classroom materials.
This program is sponsored by the Montana Television Network and the Sons and Daughters of Montana Pioneers in cooperation with the Office of Public Instruction.
The award is given on odd numbered years to a 4th-5th grade Montana History teacher and on even numbered years to a 7th-8th grade Montana History teacher.
