American Public Works Association 2011 Scholarship

The American Public Works Association Rocky Mountain Chapter scholarship will be awarded by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Public Works Association (RMC/APWA) each year.  The scholarships will be awarded to applicants entering or continuing vocational educational training or to applicants entering or continuing a four-year college or university. 

Scholarships are awarded on a one-year basis or a shorter time if that is the extent of the course.  Award for each scholarship will be $1,000.00.  The number of scholarships to be awarded will be set each budget year.


Scholarships will be awarded in consideration of scholastic record and ability, outside school activities, record of self-help, interest in the Public Works field, and on the content and appearance of the application.  The scholarship may be used for any field of study, including vocational education.  Reapplications for subsequent years will be accepted.


Applications must be submitted and postmarked no later than March 1st of each year to the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Public Works Association, to the person and address shown on the previous page.  Applications must be submitted in an electronic PDF format on a CD/DVD and also submitted in a hard copy format. Late applications will not be considered.
