The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the new data system was released on November 15, 2010 and six proposals were received on January 17, 2011. These proposals are currently under review by the SLDS RFP evaluation committee.
This committee consists of:
o Karen Palmer – Billings School District
o Tyler Trevor – Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education
o Frank Podobnik – Special Education
o Scott Furois – Measurement & Accountability
o Jim Gietzen – IT Division Administrator / SLDS
o Sue Mohr – Measurement & Accountability / SLDS
o Jake Massman – IT Division / SLDS
o Kurt Wolfe – IT Division / SLDS
A public RFP scoring meeting will be held on February 8 – 10 in Helena and the top three vendors will be notified and invited to Helena to provide on-site presentations of the solutions they have proposed. These on-site presentations will be held March 1-3. The committee will then decide on a winning proposal by March 4, 2011.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the winning vendor who will be here in late spring/early summer to begin the design and build of this exciting new data system.
