The OPI School Staffing Project released a Request for Proposal (RFP) detailing the requirements for a new Teacher Preparation and Educator Licensure Information system on January 21, 2011.  The RFP will primarily focus on automating existing practices.  Responses are due by February 28, 2011.

The personnel assignments portion of the project continues in the requirements gathering phase.  The work is still planned to be completed in-house.

The pilot project with two Montana-based vendors and 20 school districts to collect salary and benefit information continues.  The audience for collecting this data remains teachers, administrators, specialists, and paraprofessionals.

The State Educator Identifier (SEID) generator system for the pilot project is being enhanced with detailed processing capabilities.

In the months to come each subproject, teacher preparation, educator licensure, personnel assignments, compensation, salary and benefits will merge together to allow an exchange of data among systems.
