Indian Education for All Resources

A treasure chest of literature is coming your way.  The Indian Education Division is sending a copy of the 16 books that accompany the language arts literature units to each school librarian.  We encourage you to look them over and inform teachers about these resources.

We request your collaboration in helping us determine how the language arts units are being used in your schools.  In September, a letter to principals will provide details of a survey designed to capture pertinent information.

Two additional Indian Education for All resources for the arts and social studies have been sent to school libraries in August.  Remembering the Songs CD and DVD Set is a multi-media project that explores the music traditions of the traditional flute.  Stories From a Nation Within is a four-part film series that conveys fundamental information to support basic understandings of American Indian tribes as sovereign nations.
