Upcoming Data Access Research Taskforce (DART) Activities

Friday, September 28, 2012, 2:19 pm

OPI has created the Data Access Research Taskforce (DART) with the overall goal of discovering ways to improve the data collection mechanisms and processes for both the OPI and the districts in Montana.  The information gathered from this project will be incorporated into our SLDS K20 grant activities.  One of the objectives of the SLDS K20 grant is to improve the data collection infrastructure in order to ease the burden of data submission to the OPI on the schools and districts in Montana.

One of the primary activities associated with DART is conducting a survey of the districts to solicit their feedback regarding the various data collections that the OPI conducts throughout the year.

A survey requesting this information will be sent out to Authorized Representatives electronically beginning October 12th.  Please ensure that this survey is given to the person(s) responsible for coordinating data submissions to the OPI or the district technology staff member.  The survey is due back by November 2nd.

The Data Access Research Taskforce project team is headed up by Tab Dougherty, Systems Development Bureau Chief.  Work on this project is being performed by Rose, International.
