What's on your tray for Farm to School Month?

It’s time to celebrate the connection between schools and local food. In 2010, Congress designated October as National Farm to School Month, demonstrating the growing importance of Farm to School programs as a means to improve child nutrition, support local economies and educate children about the origins of food. October is a great time to feature locally grown foods or take a field trip to visit a nearby farm! Learn more, download the toolkit, and order posters and materials online at www.farmtoschoolmonth.org.

Montana is fortunate to have a vibrant (and growing) Farm to School community coordinating National Farm to School Month celebrations statewide. If you want to join the fun, need resources, support, or celebration ideas connect with us at opi.mt.gov/Farm2School.
