Draw the Line/Respect the Line - Summer Training

The 15th Annual Summer Training offered by the HIV Program at the OPI will feature the curriculum, Draw the Line/Respect the Line.  The training will be held June 10, 11 and 12 at the Wingate Inn in Helena.  Draw the Line/Respect the Line is a Grades 6, 7 and 8 curriculum that focuses on self-respect and limit-setting in regards to peer pressure, tobacco use, alcohol use, dating, party scenes, and sexual health behaviors.  All participants will receive the three textbooks needed to implement the curriculum.  Health enhancement and family and consumer science teachers, counselors and school nurses who teach the sexual health unit in a middle school are encouraged to attend.  There is no cost to attend the training; additionally, the first 25 teachers to register by May 10 will be reimbursed for two nights lodging at the state rate.  The registration deadline is May 25.  To register contact Susan Court at scourt@mt.gov.
