Healthy School Awards

Montana Team Nutrition encourages all schools to take the Challenge and go for a healthy school award. There are two types of awards:

HealthierUS School Challenge award ensures a coordinated school health approach through nutrient-rich school lunches, nutrition education and physical activity and education.  Schools can receive a financial incentive with the award ($500 to up to $5,000.)

The Healthier Montana Menu Challenge award focuses on nutrient rich breakfasts, lunches or competitive foods served in the school setting.  There is a $500 financial incentive available to schools that receive the Healthier Montana Menu Award for their breakfast program.
