National Drug Facts Week

Friday, October 1, 2010, 11:34 am

Be a part of the first National Drug Facts Week (NDFW) -- a new national health observance just for teens, November 8-14, 2010 sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).  NDFW is an opportunity for teens to shatter the myths about drug abuse and to get answers from a scientific expert.

To help you, NIDA provides a step-by-step how-to kit (http://drugfactsweek.drugabuse.gov/planyourevent.php ), including a list of fun activities, instructions on how to receive our NEW drug facts to distribute at events, assistance in finding a scientific expert in your community, an online interactive quiz, and much more.  Encourage teens to organize an event during NDFW and support them by being an adult advisor and registering an event with NIDA.  For more information or questions, please contact drugfacts@nida.nih.gov .
