Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 10:26 am

The CTE Division of the OPI is offering nine Family and Consumer Sciences Regional Workshops called, "Connecting the Dots within FCS" in various locations around the state during the first two weeks of August.  All Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) educators are encouraged to attend--both middle school and high school, part-time and full-time.
There is no registration fee for the one-day workshop.  Lunch will be arranged at each location, but each participant will be responsible for their own lunch costs and no reimbursement for mileage will be available in order to make these workshops feasible.
LOCATIONS:  August 3--Butte; August 4--Belgrade; August 5--Billings (Skyview High School); August 6--Miles City; August 9--Sidney (Sidney High School Library); August 10--Malta; August 11--Great Falls; August 12--Columbia Falls (Columbia Falls High School); August 13--Missoula (Sentinel High School)
Topics to be covered include but are not limited to: Carl Perkins and Big Sky Pathways, Academic Infusion, Brand FACS, Middle School to High School Transitions, Best Practices in FCS for Middle School & High School, and Leadership Development.  Each topic area will be revisited in a series of webinars offered monthly during the 2010-2011 school year.  Workshop participants will have the opportunity to earn six OPI Renewal Units.
