New Science Curriculum Coordinator

We are pleased to announce our New Science Instructional Coordinator.

Chris DeWald has joined the OPI Content Standards and Instruction Team as the Science Instructional Coordinator.  Chris has taught all areas of high school science in Texas and Connnecticut, as well as teaching an undergraduate educational psychology course at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  She earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, in Neuroscience and Behavior and a M.Ed. in Teaching from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She has spent the last three years in Madison, Wisconsin, working on an M.Ed. and a PhD in Educational Psychology with a specialization in the Learning Sciences. 

Her family has been in Montana for many generations, and Chris is excited to be back home in Helena, Montana.  She looks forward to working to help our schools provide the best science education for Montana kids.
