Employment at the Office of Public Instruction
OPI utilizes the State of Montana online application and vacant position listing system. Please follow the link below to view the OPI's vacancy announcement. As you review the vacancy announcement, you will find detailed instructions outlining the application process. If, you are interested in applying for one of the listed positions, you will need to create an online version of a State of MT application utilizing the online system provided and supported by the Department of Administration. In sum, this process involves creating an e-pass account and then logging in and creating and saving a state application on the system. Once you have reviewed and finalized your application, go back to the vacancy announcement and click on the “apply online” box found within the vacancy announcement. The system will then allow you to associate your application with the position you are applying for and then directs you to the supplemental questions and allow you to provide your responses. It is important to note that the state online application system does not allow you to edit your supplemental responses after you have submitted them. Therefore, it is recommended you do all of your rough drafts and editing in a word processing program and be certain you have finalized your responses before submitting them. There is no advantage to submitting your application before the close date, so be sure to take the time you need to finalize your responses.
