The U.S. Department of Education’s Newcomer Toolkit was designed to help schools support immigrants, refugees, and their families with a successful integration process. The Newcomer Tool Kit provides information, resources and examples of effective practices that educators can use to support newcomers. 

English Learner Tool Kit Updated with ESSA references. Office of English Language Acquisition’s EL Tool Kit was published in 2015. The English Learner Tool Kit supports state and local education agencies help English Learners (ELs) by fulfilling obligations. It contains an overview, sample tools, and resources.

Midwest Migrant Education Resource Center (MMERC) 

MMERC is a lending library whose mission it is to assist educators in meeting the educational needs of migrant students. It has an extensive collection of supplemental resources for grades K-12 in skills areas of reading, math, English as a Second Language, and many other subjects. Also included are bilingual, multicultural, and Spanish materials, reading kits, thematic units, STEM resources, games and much more. 

Who has access? Educators that have at least one migrant student (ages 3-21) in their class 

What is the cost? Access is free, including shipping (via UPS)
