Quick Tips for Editing Rejected Applications

E-Grants is a web-enabled system for K-12 education which supports the grant application process from allocation of funds and application for funding through payment accountability, reporting to the grantor and grant closeout for both state and federal grants.

Timeline ...

The tentative timeline for E-Grants project:

e-grants timeline.gif

The OPI and MTW Solutions continue to make progress in the comprehensive review of our grants including NCLB Consolidated, Carl Perkins, IDEA Part B, and IDEA Preschool.  This review process is expected to be completed in January 2007 with the project being completed by March 30, 2007.   While it is unfortunate the project is being extended, the OPI considers it imperative that E-Grants operates as accurately and efficiently as possible before our customers start using the system.

After the comprehensive review, any needed changes will be implemented and we will move into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, which includes system workflow and online grant applications.  In preparation for UAT, OPI staff and several districts have been trained on the UAT process.

E-Grants will be a web-enabled system for K-12 education and will support the grant application process from allocation of funds and application for funding through payment accountability, reporting to the grantor and grant closeout for both state and federal grants.

In some project phases, for example training, the OPI and MTW Solutions will be working with school personnel. The OPI will use several communication mechanisms to communicate with schools about upcoming steps in the process, including monthly updates in the Summary of OPI Activities and our IT Projects http://www.opi.mt.gov/itprojects web site.
