When is carryover added to my budget through E-Grants and how do I request these funds?
Carryover funds are automatically added to the LEA's current year budget, as soon as the the previous year's Final Expenditure report or Fiscal Closeout report is approved/accepted by the OPI through the E-Grants system. If the previous year's Final Expenditure report is approved before the LEA submits the current year application, the carryover will be available for budgeting in the current year's application. If the previous year's Final Expenditure report is approved/accepted after the approval of the current year application, an amendment must be created in order to budget and request carryover funds. The funds are requested through the E-Grants Cash Request process.
