QuickTime Live Video and Windows XP

Problem:
Users with Windows XP may experience problems with viewing live streaming video.  They may hear the audio but the screen will be a blank white screen with the familiar QuickTime "Q" displayed.

The main problem is the fact that Windows XP is getting to be a tad long in the tooth as far as operation systems are concerned.  It has some issues with the now defunct DirectX and certain video drivers.  Make sure you have installed the latest Windows Service Packs and video drivers for your computer.

Solution:
Open the QuickTime Control Panel / Advanced tab and change the Video to "Safe mode".  Quit and relaunch QuickTime Player and try the link again.
