Pupil Transportation--Unsecure Items

Q: 

Does having a bottle of cleaning fluid on the dash of the bus, or an unsecured carton with "stuff" in it present a dangerous situation for bus riders?



A:  

Unsecured snow shovels, brooms, cleaning supplies, coffee cups, extra oil containers, etc. can cause serious injury to children and equipment in case of an accident. An unsecured can of Windex could roll under the brake pedal causing an accident. The same can could become a flying object and seriously injure someone in a collision. Please remove unsecured items and do NOT block emergency exits with anything.
