LAAP	Learning Anytime Anywhere Partnership
LAWS	Legislative Automated Workflow System
LEA	Local Education Agency. The public school district in which the child, or in some cases, the child's parent lives.
LEP	Limited English Proficiency
LRE	Least Restrictive Environment. The placement option in which the child, "to the maximum extent appropriate" (as defined in the IEP) is educated with children who are not handicapped.
